Patty Barnes

Ms Barnes spent her childhood drawing on reams of white shelf paper—even while hospitalized as a nine year old. In time, she climbed trees in her yard and began sketching the landscape.

Patty earned a BFA in Art History from Marymount College, Tarrytown NY. She continued her education earning her Masters from the University of Wisconsin.

In February 2016, Barnes sold her business on the Cape and began to paint daily. The children were launched and doing well. It was time for a change.

Since then Patty’s work has been juried into national shows at the Cape Cod Art Center, the Creative Art Center, and the Cultural Center of Cape Cod. She is a member of all three organizations, plus, the Cape Cod Art Association, the Monday Painters Group, and the Yarmouth Art Guild.
