After recently moving to the Cape with her husband Carol is delighted to be a member of the Eastwind Gallery! She began working with soft pastels about fifteen years ago and is very grateful for time spent studying with Jeanne Rosier Smith and Cindy Crimmin among many other wonderful artists. Working with soft pastels has always felt like coming home. The colors, textures and possibilities combined with the unique experience of drawing while painting offer endless opportunities for expression and experimentation.  

Carol is a juried member of the Cape Cod Art Center where she has received several  awards.  She has also shown her work at the Concord Center for Visual Art in Concord, Massachusetts, and the Zullo Art Gallery in Medfield, Massachusetts.  She was honored to receive Best in Show award at the Post Road Art Center in Marlboro, Massachusetts.   Her paintings have been selected for juried shows through the Pastel Society of Cape Cod, and the Pastel Society of New Hampshire. 

Carol especially enjoys painting scenes of land and sea and is intrigued and challenged by painting the human figure, the occasional animal and scenes from vacations.
